All you need to know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Wed, 16 Nov 2016
With Christmas fast approaching, many of us will be buying presents for our friends and family. Luckily, the UK’s biggest shopping days are also just around the corner, with heaps of great deals available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Black Friday is a huge day of deals on thousands of items, such as TVs, computers, phones, games consoles, cameras and more. It originates from the US, where shops offered big savings the day after Thanksgiving.

While Black Friday itself officially takes places on 25 November, many retailers will actually be running deals all week beforehand, with the event ending on 28 November, known as Cyber Monday. Some sellers, including Amazon, have already started offering deals, but typically the best products aren’t on offer till the very end of the sales period.

The whole sale event tends to take place online, but there will still be many offers taking place in store, so if you intend to go make sure you check the opening times in advance. Most big names get involved with the Black Friday sales, but Apple, Asda and Next are among those who tend not to partake.

It is highly recommended that you sign up for newsletters from retailers you enjoy shopping from, as they can let you know about their deals early on, and you may even qualify for special discounts.

Don’t worry too much though if you miss out, because most retailers will still be offering deals all the way up to Christmas Day itself.

Happy shopping!
